PUBLIC NOTICE
From the Office of the Weld County Assessor
In compliance with Colorado law (39-5-122(1), C.R.S.), beginning on June 16, 2014, the assessor will sit in the Weld County Administrative Offices, 1400 N 17th Avenue, Greeley, from 8:30a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to hear objections and protests to valuations of business personal property. Current values will become final unless protests are filed with the assessor by the end of business June 30.
Objections to taxable values for 2014 must be postmarked, faxed or e-mailed not later than June 30, 2014. Objections presented in person will be accepted through June 30.
Information for requesting a review of valuations and for filing objections is available at the assessor's office or on the web site www.co.weld.co.us.
If the date for filing any report, schedule, claim, tax return, statement, remittance, or other document falls upon a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, it shall be deemed to have been timely filed if filed on the next business day, § 39-1-120(3), C.R.S.

Property Tax Exemption

The Colorado General Assembly has reinstated funding for the Senior Property Tax Exemption for tax year 2013, payable in 2014.
Please note, funding has been approved for tax year 2014, payable in 2015.
If you have previously applied for participation in the Senior Exemption Program, no further action is needed. Your Exemption will automatically take effect in future years that funds are available.
