2016 Election Information

The 2016 Primary and General Election will be conducted as a Mail Ballot Election.  The Election Date for the Primary is 06/28/2015 and the Election Date for the General is 11/08/2015.

Precinct Caucus: Tuesday, March 1

Weld County does not conduct precinct caucuses. These are overseen by the major political parties. Please contact the Weld County Democratic Party or Weld County Republican Party if you have any questions about precinct caucuses. You need to know your Precinct Number to go to the correct caucus location! Click here to get your Precinct Number. Find your voter information and the Precinct Number is located in the District Information.

  • Deadline to affiliate with the Republican or Democratic Party to participate in Precinct Caucus: Monday, Jan. 4
  • Deadline to change your address to participate in precinct caucus: Monday, Feb. 1

 

Primary Election: Tuesday, June 28

Only active registered voters who are affiliated with the Republican or Democratic parties will receive a mail ballot for the Primary Election. Unaffiliated voters will not receive a mail ballot. If you wish to affiliate with one of the parties to vote in the Primary, you may update your voter registration online. You may also update your registration and cast a ballot through Election Day at any Voter Service and Polling Center in Weld County. There are no assigned polling places.

  • Last day for voters who are affiliated with a political party to change or withdraw their affiliation if they wish to vote in a different party’s Primary Election: Friday, May 27
  • First day ballots are mailed to active registered Republican or Democratic voters: Monday, June 6
  • Deadline to register to vote by mail or online and receive a ballot by mail: Monday, June 20
  • Primary Election Day: Tuesday, June 28, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

 

General Election: Tuesday, November 8

All active registered voters will receive a mail ballot for the General Election. Check your voter registration to ensure that it is active and update your voter registration online. You may also update your registration and cast a ballot through Election Day at any Voter Service and Polling Center in Weld County. There are no assigned polling places.

  • First day ballots are mailed to active registered voters: Monday, October 17
  • Deadline to register to vote by mail or online and receive a ballot by mail: Monday, October 31
  • General Election Day: Tuesday, November 8, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
