District 1, 1st Term: 01/01/13 – 12/31/16
Mike Freeman is a lifetime resident of Weld County. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ag Business, he returned to the family farm west of Ault where he continued farming and ranching. In 2001, he and his wife started their company, J9 Crop Insurance Agency. Freeman was elected as Weld County Commissioner in 2012 and represents District 1.
District 2, 1st Term: 01/01/15-12/31/18
Julie Cozad worked as a Land Use Planner for almost 20 years, in both the public and private sectors. She has worked for the Weld County Planning Department, Hall-Irwin and Tetra Tech. Cozad served as Mayor Pro Tem for the Town of Milliken as well as represented Milliken on many different boards. Cozad and her husband enjoy riding their motorcycles, gardening, hiking, camping and spending time with their families.
District 3, 2nd Term: 01/01/13 – 12/31/16
Barbara Kirkmeyer, a fourth generation Coloradan, has spent the past 20 years working for her community and for Weld County. Kirkmeyer was first elected as County Commissioner for District 3 in 1993 and served eight years (1993-2001) in that role before leaving to manage a state-level department. She returned to county government in 2008 when she was elected again as Commissioner for District 3; she is currently serving her second term.
At-Large, 1st Term: 01/01/15 – 12/31/18
Steve Moreno and his family have lived in Greeley for three decades. Prior to being elected as County Commissioner, Moreno served as the Weld County Clerk and Recorder from 2003-2014. Moreno actively serves on several executive boards and committees within the community. Moreno was elected as Weld County Commissioner At- Large in 2014.
At-Large, 2nd Term: 01/01/13-12/31/16
Sean Conway is a third generation Coloradan who grew up on a ranch in the Rocky Mountains. Conway and his family have made Weld County their home for more than two decades. Following re-election in 2012, Conway is currently serving in his second term as Weld County Commissioner At Large. Prior to serving as County Commissioner, Conway worked as Colorado Senator Wayne Allard’s Chief of Staff.
