Businesses are required to dispose of their hazardous waste in an environmentally sound way. To this end, the Weld County Household Hazardous Waste Program felt that it was important to provide a resource for the correct disposal of hazardous waste from businesses. The program can accept waste from Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESGQ) or it can provide a valuable resource to those businesses that are classified as Small Quantity Generators (SQG) or Large Quantity Generators (LQG).
The Weld County Business Hazardous Waste Disposal Program provides a safe and affordable disposal/recycling option for CESQGs in Weld County. This voluntary program is fee based and operated at the Weld County Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Greeley.
To qualify, your business must:
- Be located within Weld County.
- Generate waste that is classified only as Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) waste, as defined in the Colorado Hazardous Waste Regulations (6 CCR 1007-3, Section 261.5)
To determine if your business meets the requirements for participation in this program, please refer to the Commercial Hazardous Waste Disposal Application (link can be found to the right under Additional Information).
NOTE: The requirements listed in the Commercial Hazardous Waste Disposal Application are general requirements. To be sure that you are a CESQG please refer to Section 261.5 of the Colorado Hazardous Waste Regulations, or 6 CCR 1007-3, Section 261.5 of the Colorado Code of Regulations.
