The Weld County Department of Public Health & Environment's Laboratory works in conjunction with both the Environmental Health and the Public Health Education and Nursing divisions to provide support for a variety of programs.
The laboratory is currently certified through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Care Financing Administration. The laboratory provides: Water quality information and water quality testing services for public agencies and private residents, Medical testing support for the Public Health Nursing Division and surrounding medical facilities, Environmental Lead testing and Zoonotic (animal-borne) disease testing.
