Healthy Weld 2020

It's-easy-to-fix-a-health-m  About HealthyWeld2020

Healthy Weld 2020 is a grant-funded program that takes the leading role of obesity prevention in Weld County by creating healthy environments where residents live, work, learn and play.

For the past seven years, Weld’s obesity prevention efforts were led by the Steps to a Healthier Weld County and LiveWell Weld County grant programs.  Healthy Weld 2020 continues to build upon the foundation of readiness for lasting healthy behavior changes laid by the previous grants. The program addresses the root causes of overweight and obesity by creating environments where residents can easily make good choices around healthy eating and active living.  In order for the residents of Weld County to take empowered roles in improving their health, they must have convenient and affordable access to healthy, fresh, foods, and safe active community environments.

Our work is conducted through multiple state, regional and local strategic partnerships and community task forces. Together, we are making the healthiest choice the easiest choice in Weld County!

The Healthy Weld 2020 program is being administered at the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment at 1555 North 17th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631.
