The Area Agency on Aging is a HelpSource for Seniors and may be contacted for a wide range of information and referral questions. The Area Agency on Aging supports services for seniors either through contracts with community agencies or by providing the service directly.
What are Area agencies on Aging?

AAAs were established under the Older Americans Act (OAA) in 1973 to respond to the needs of Americans 60 and over in every local community.

AAAs make it possible for older adults to remain in their homes and communities as long as possible.

AAAs are part of a national network of agencies that provide services to any person age 60 or older without regard to income, sex or ethnicity.

There are 629 AAA’s nationwide, 16 in Colorado.
