The Weld County Parenting Education Center has been developed over the last 13 years. The Parenting Education Center is a division of the Weld County Department of Human Services and is housed off site from the main office. The Parenting Education Center currently employs five therapeutic caseworkers, six parent educators, a part time contract employee and a full time manager. The staff is committed to providing families with resources and tools that can make parenting a pleasure. The Parenting Education Center also provides many resources for families in need. Currently our services are accessed by referral only, through a caseworker or case manager for the Department of Human Services. However, our goal is to expand and provide services to the community at large.

"As part of Weld County Department of Human Services, Weld County Parent Educators will assure the safety of children at all times. We believe families are the foundation of our society. Our primary mission is to assist families through education, developing and utilizing resources and supports, modeling, promoting healthy relationships and empowering individuals."
The Center
The Weld County Parenting Education Center is located in the Greeley Building, downtown, next to the Greeley Recreation Center and Union Colony Civic Center, and across from Lincoln Park. Our address is 710 11th Avenue, Suite 202.
The Parenting Education Center has eight family rooms which provide a comfortable setting in which children and their families can enjoy time with each other. The family rooms are furnished in a way that makes for a more “home-like” setting. Children are able to pick from many activities that can be done with their parents. The center is also equipped with a dining room table and microwaves so meals can 
be shared as a family.
The Parenting Education Center embraces the importance of families and encourages positive relationships between family members. As the Parenting Education Center is fully equipped with audio and visual recording capabilities, this provides the staff a teaching tool when working with families and ensures the safety of the children. In addition, the center also has a separate waiting room for care providers, along with a lobby for parents and/or relatives.
