Foster Care - Foster/Adoption - Kinship Foster Care

Weld County is seeking dedicated families willing to offer abused and neglected children a safe, stable, and loving home.  Offering your home to a child is a great community service and will impact a child for the rest of his or her life.

While a child is placed in your home there will be several opportunities for this child to learn from personal interactions with his or her biological family, foster family, school staff, counselors, Department of Human Services caseworker, Guardian Ad Litem, and other community service providers.

Foster Children will often come to your home with multiple behavioral, emotional, educational, and physical needs.  As a foster parent, you will work closely with others to help the child achieve his or her full potential and recognize a future full of hope.9427325-1131x1697

Foster parents insure the child is on time for appointments, visitations, and court appearances.  The foster parents are expected to provide a level of supervision necessary to keep all persons in the home feeling safe and secure.  Foster homes are governed and licensed by state and county rules, must pass background checks and home studies.

If you desire to commit to this great service and you would like to view additional information, please click on the link to the “Inquiry Packet" under the Getting Started section shown on the right hand side of this page.
