Career Ready Colorado Certification

The Career Ready Colorado Certificate is an 71086017assessment-based credential  signed by the Governor which certifies a job seeker's skills. The certificate creates objective standards for employment readiness and demonstrates a job seeker's mastery of the work-applied skills employers are seeking. This is a state funded program offered at no cost to the job seeker!

How can I use the certificate?

The certificate documents the level at which you comprehend Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information. Potential employers can review your certificate to see if you match the required skills needed for a given career.

How do I receive a Certificate?

The Career Ready Colorado certificate is available in four levels: Bronze,  Silver, Gold and Platinum. To earn a certificate, a job seeker must pass WorkKeys assessments in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information. WorkKeys is a nationally-recognized skills assessment tool developed by ACT Inc., the college testing company.

What if I’m not ready for the tests?

Individuals who are not ready to pass WorkKeys assessments may take free, online training to improve their skills. CareerReady101 is an ACT-approved training program designed to prepare individuals to pass the WorkKeys assessments. CareerReady101 is available in the Employment Services Learning Lab, and may also be accessed remotely from home. Job seekers may use it at no cost to help them reach certification goals.
