Serving Families
The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program provides financial assistance for low-income families who are working, searching for employment, or in an educational activity and need childcare services to support their efforts to achieve and/or maintain self-sufficiency. The Child Care Program is administered through the Weld County Department of Human Services.
Eligibility for Families
Eligibility levels vary from county to county. Currently, Weld County's eligibility level is at 170% of the Federal Poverty Level.
How do I know if I am eligible?
Families whose gross income does not exceed 170% of the Federal Poverty Level may be eligible for CCCAP assistance. In order for families to qualify, they must be employed, attending school (limited to 24months), or in an approved job search.
Families who do not qualify for Colorado Child Care Assistance Program funds because their income exceeds the maximum amount allowed may be eligible for a subsidy through United Way. For more information about this program, please contact your Child Care technician or the technician designated for your last name listed on the Child Care Staff Roster.
