Once a hiring process date has been set, and any interested applicants have completed the online application and resume process, the hiring process itself starts with a written examination.
The written examination begins at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the designated date & location and is stopped at 9:30 a.m. If a candidate is late for the written examination, they may still choose to take it, but the examination is stopped at 9:30 a.m. whether they completed the examination or not.
The written examination itself consists of 100 multiple choice or matching type questions and is similar to the type of examination you would take to complete an EMT Basic or EMT Paramedic program such as:
-
Anatomy & physiology.
-
History & assessment gathering.
-
Disease processes.
-
Medical scenarios.
-
Trauma scenarios.
-
Medications.
-
Treatment procedures.
-
Basic & 12 lead EKG. (Paramedics)
