9-1-1 Emergency Services
A patient can have an ambulance respond to their location in Weld County 24 hours a day by dialing 9-1-1.
When the patient dials 9-1-1, a dispatcher from the Weld County Communications Center will answer the phone and begin asking key questions regarding the patient’s current emergency.
Based on the answers to those key questions, response priorities are determined and a Paramedic unit is dispatched to the address.
For all 9-1-1 calls that are determined to be “emergency” based on the dispatch key questions, the goal at Weld County Paramedic Services is to respond and arrive on scene within 9 minutes (or less) 90% of the time.
For all 9-1-1 calls that are determined to be “non-emergency” based on the dispatch key questions, the goal at Weld County Paramedic Services is to respond and arrive on scene within 12 minutes (or less) 90% of the time.
