The Weld County Building Code, as adopted, addresses the design and installation of commercial building systems through requirements which focus on safety, design control and construction quality. The consistent enforcement of the building code in commercial construction safeguards public health and safety and reflects Weld County’s commitment to our residents.
As of July 1, 2008, Weld County Building Code adopted and enforces the 2006 International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Plumbing code (IPC) and International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), as well as the 2006 International Energy Conservational Code (IECC) and the 2011 National Electric Code (NEC) in all portions of unincorporated Weld County. Amendments to all adopted codes may be found on the County website listed in Chapter 29 of the Weld County Code.
