Suppression Weed Species– List C

The noxious weeds mandated for control are plants that are non-native to North America. Consequently, these plants do not have the natural checks as found in their native land such as insects or diseases. Due to the competitive aggressive nature of these plants they tend to out compete our native vegetation by forming mono-cultures.

Plants on the “C List” have the potential to be very invasive noxious weeds that quickly transform an area. These plants are typically already heavily established in Colorado and Weld County. If you want assistance in the identification and control of these noxious weed species please call 970-304-6496 ext. 3770.

If one of these noxious weed species is just invading into your property, it is advisable to address the issue and eradicate the plants instead of allowing them to become established. These plants are very invasive if left unattended.
