The Health Promotions supervisor serves as the Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment. Health information for the residents of Weld County is sent out regularly to local newspapers and radio stations.
Press releases about health emergencies are issued by the PIO, as needed. The PIO also coordinates public education campaigns, such as distributing information about West Nile virus.
