The Mission of Weld County Paramedic Services is to provide the highest professional-quality, cost-effective mobile health care to all of our customers.
PARAMEDIC SERVICES
Weld County covers an area of 3,999 square miles in north central Colorado. It is bordered on the north by Wyoming and Nebraska and on the south by the Denver metropolitan area. The third largest county in Colorado, Weld County has an area greater than that of Rhode Island, Delaware and the District of Columbia combined. Weld County Paramedic Services as part of their mission provides the 9-1-1 emergency medical services care and transportation to estimated 235,000 citizens and visitors within the county and has done so for over 34 years.
Weld County Paramedic Services provides service with 4 stations and 100 personnel. The staff is comprised of 52 FTE and the rest being part time employees. Included in the full time employees are the Office Manager and billing staff of 3.5 FTE. In 2007 the department responded to 13,350 requests for service and transported 8,594 patients.
Throughout the Weld County service area the department deploys 7 advanced life support (ALS) ambulances and 1 mental health transport van. Weld County Paramedic Services currently has 32 paramedics and 12 emergency medical technician basics.
