COLORADO CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides financial assistance for low-income families who are working, searching for employment, or in an educational activity and need childcare services to support their efforts to achieve and/or maintain self-sufficiency.  The childcare assistance program is administered through the Weld County Department of Social Services, located at 315 N 11th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado.

Eligibility for Families

Eligibility levels vary from county to county.  Effective April 1, 2007, Weld County's eligibility level is at 185% of the Federal Poverty Level. 

How do I know if I am eligible? 

Families whose gross income does not exceed 185% of the Federal Poverty Level may be eligible for CCCAP assistance.  In order for families to qualify, they must be employed, attending school (limited to 12 months), or in an approved job search.

Families must meet gross monthly income guidelines as shown in the following chart.

Families who do not qualify for Colorado Child Care Assistance Program funds because their income exceeds the maximum amount allowed, may be eligible for a subsidy through United Way.
