WELD COUNTY FOSTER HOME LICENSING SERVICES

Weld County is seeking dedicated families willing to offer abused and neglected children a safe, stable, and loving home.  Offering your home to a child is a great community service and will impact a child for the rest of their life.

While a child is placed in your home there will be several opportunities for them to learn from personal interactions with their biological family, foster family, school staff, counselors, Department of Human Services caseworker, Guardian Ad Litem, and other community service providers.

Foster Children will often come to your home with multiple behavioral, emotional, educational, and physical needs.  As a foster parent, you will work closely with others to help the child achieve their full potential and recognize a future full of hope.

Foster parents insure the child is on time for appointments, visitations, and court appearances.  The foster parents are expected to provide a level of supervision necessary to keep all persons in the home feeling safe and secure.  Foster homes are governed and licensed by state and county rules, must pass background checks and home studied.

If you are desiring to commit to this great service, please click on the “Getting Started – Inquiry Packet” menu tab on the left hand side of this page and review our information.
